Rob Ryan isn't saving his fiery side for fall practices for the USC Trojans. A viral video shows the "unreal" energy he's set to bring.

The incoming linebackers coach was caught showing his energetic side. Even taking his linebacker unit outside of the practice field for a drill on concrete.

That's right -- Ryan got his LBs chopping their feet, falling forward and landing on their hands, then shuffling from right to left then forward to back.

Ryan is aiming to instill a new level of grit and toughness for what was labeled one of the weakest units on USC in 2024. But the players watching were fired up. And not a single USC linebacker complained about working out on concrete. The video sparked multiple reactions online.

USC Trojans vs. Oregon State Beavers Prediction and Preview

"Coach Rob Ryan is going to max out every drop of potential from this linebacker group. The energy he brings to this team is UNREAL!" one fan account posted on X (formerly Twitter). "USC may have an All-American come out of this linebacker room soon."

Others shared the same excited energy after watching Ryan's viral clip.

"The energy on Saturdays will be unmatched," one other fan posted.

Even former Louisville cornerback Bobby Burns chimed in.

"Matt drills on concrete…different!" Burns said on X.

Ryan is taking a big leap back to the college game. The 62-year-old has never coached collegiately throughout the 2000s decade. Oklahoma State represents his last CFB place -- which ended in 1999 as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator. He was also a graduate assistant for Western Kentucky and Ohio State.

The longtime NFL defensive coordinator, however, has won over USC fans during the college football recruiting period. Ryan is credited for helping secure the commitment of four-star Shaun Scott in May. He then flexed right after USC won over fellow four-star Talanoa Ili -- who's the state of Hawaii's top-ranked prospect.
