Talks are continuing.
Barcelona have reportedly made an improved offer for Al-Ahly and Egypt starlet Hamza Abdelkarim as they aim to bring in the teenager in January.
Reports in Egypt claim that Barcelona have gone from €1.8 million to €2m for the 17-year-old, who they want to sign to strengthen Barca Atletic this winter.
It’s not clear yet if the improved offer will be accepted by the Saudi Pro League club. Previous reports have suggested that Al-Ahly are holding out for €5m, a fee that Barca don’t really want to pay.
Abdelkarim is said to be dreaming of a move to Barcelona but he’ll have to wait and see if a deal can be struck during the winter window.
Barca Atletic have been blighted by injuries to key players so far this season so the arrival of a player such as Abdelkarim would be a big boost ahead of the second half of the 2025-26 campaign.
