Jordan Love will not play against the Ravens

Malik Willis will make his first start for the Green Bay Packers in 2025 on Saturday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Friday that the Green Bay Packers will not be playing quarterback Jordan Love, who suffered a concussion last week, and are expected to start Malik Willis against the Baltimore Ravens tomorrow. Willis has previously started two games for the Packers, both in 2024, and has a 2-0 record.

Over two years in Green Bay, he’s thrown 52 completions on 68 passes (77 percent completion percentage) for 684 yards (10.1 yards per attempt) and five touchdowns. That’s good for a passer rating of 132.2. Beyond his ability to throw the ball, he’s also run for 201 yards on 33 attempts (6.1 yards per attempt) with the Packers.

Both Love and Willis were listed as questionable on Thursday when Green Bay released the final injury report of the week. Willis is not only dealing with a right shoulder injury, but he’s also been battling an illness this week. Willis was a completely non-participant in Wednesday’s practice, due to illness, but returned for the team’s Thursday practice as a limited participant.

With Love out, the Packers are likely to call up practice squad quarterback Clayton Tune to be the team’s backup in the game. In emergency situations, head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed this week that running back Josh Jacobs and receiver Jayden Reed are the team’s break in case of emergency quarterbacks.
