The Bears allowed no sacks to the Packers, so @wiltfongjr breaks down the Williams to Walker touchdown.
The Chicago Bears didn’t allow a single sack against the Green Bay Packers, which is the third time this year they have kept Caleb Williams from being sacked. So, with nothing to do this week on Sackwatch, I had to find something else to do, and I landed on a breakdown of the fourth-down touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker.
Caleb’s game-winner to DJ Moore has received the bulk of kudos all week, but if that play was an A++, then the Williams to Walker pass was an A+.
The Packers were showing eight threats, while the Bears were only pass-blocking with five on a slide right, so Caleb knew he would have a free rusher from the left if the Packers blitzed. And of course, the Packers were going to bring some pressure.

Green Bay brought the first defender off the left edge while dropping the two mugged-up A Gap threats into zone coverage, but they dropped them late after engaging center Drew Dalman and left guard Joe Thuney.
The Packers got the pass protection they were expecting, but the Bears were ready for it. Williams felt the rush, drifted back, and delivered the ball where it had to go.
Here’s the Sackwatch tally after fifteen games
Caleb Williams – 8
Sacks Happen – 3.5
Jonah Jackson – 2.5
Braxton Jones – 2
Drew Dalman – 2
Ozzy Trapillo – 2
Theo Benedet – 1.5
Darnell Wright – 1.5
As I’ve often said, the breakdowns are based on my best guesses about each play. Only the Bears know the specifics and where the blame truly lies for each sack allowed.
