Kicker – while lending credence to summer of the departure rumors surrounding Werder Bremen striker Marvin Ducksch – does note that Ducksch’s Bundesliga club has not received any concrete offers just yet. Reports emerging from separate sources today have linked Ducksch with Orlando City, PAOK Saloniki and even EFL Championship side Birmingham City.
Kicker’s Bremen correspondent Tim Lüddecke nevertheless emphasizes Ducksch’s total absence from Werder’s training camp relates solely to the striker’s calf injury. It remains the case that the Hanseaten retain little interest in extending Ducksch’s expiring contract. The 31-year-old could still be on the move during the current summer transfer window
The Bremen front office itself remains preoccupied with completing the transfer of Samuel Mbangula; a deal still held up due to the high purchase price involved. Kickerreported yesterday that negotiations on the Mbangula deal are not as far advanced as other sources have suggested.Kicker noted that Mbangula’s medical had also not been scheduled.
Germany’s preeminent footballing publication isn’t quite finished debunking rumors related to Werder. Kicker also rejects the notion that the club wishes to purchase RB Leipzig striker André Silva.
