SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State Bears are enjoying a break from basketball games.
The Bears will have almost two weeks off before tipping off the conference portion of the schedule.
That’s Monday, December 29th at Delaware.
In our Bear Nation update, then MoState will return to Great Southern Bank Arena for a two game home stand.
Texas El-Paso is here on Friday, January 2nd, with New Mexico State following on Sunday the fourth.
Missouri State will be starting its first ever trip through Conference USA.
The Bears were picked to finish last in the 12 team league.
And that doesn’t sit very well with Bears boss Cuonzo Martin.
“Really, I’ve always approached the game like it was a street fight. That’s an insult to me. I could care less of what the players think. It’s me as a warrior. You said that about me. Now of course my approach has to be humble. But really it’s like I have a fist all balled up on the sideline. So I try to instill that into those guys. but if you haven’t lived in that world to know what that means, it’s hard to raise your level,” said Martin.
