It appears a WWE RAW team has parted ways without any payoff.
Grayson Waller popped up on RAW this past Monday for a backstage segment with The New Day. The “Big G”, as Waller called himself, referenced Austin Theory’s injury before telling Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston A-Town Down Under is “finally done.”
Waller has been trying to join The New Day for the past couple of weeks. He was previously seen lurking in the background trying to make a case for himself. As for Theory, the former tag team champion was most recently seen on the July 17 episode of WWE Main Event against El Grande Americano.
WWE had been teasing A-Town Down Under’s break-up on RAW for months
Despite teasing A-Town Down Under’s break-up for months, WWE never pulled the trigger on the group’s implosion. Waller and Theory even worked against each other during their triple threat NXT Championship match against Oba Femi at WWE Vengeance Day 2025.
Ideally, Waller would have gone his way after a feud with Theory. This would have culminated in Austin’s babyface turn as a payoff for the implosion. However, his rumored injury seems to suggest the creative team had to come up with another angle. This is likely the one that fans saw on WWE RAW this past Monday.
A-Town Down Under last competed on the June 26 broadcast of WWE Main Event, where they lost to The War Raiders. Theory and Waller won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL. The SmackDown titles were rebranded to WWE Tag Team Championship, which the pair dropped to #DIY in July 2024.
