A member of last year's Super Bowl winning roster sold their ring during an auction that ended Saturday.
A Super Bowl ring from the Eagles’ championship victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 has sold for $124,440, making it the first ring from the team to hit the auction block.
According to Cllct founder and former ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell, Heritage Auctions sold former Eagles offensive lineman Laekin Vakalahi’s ring Saturday for $124,440. The ring was the first to be sold by anyone on the team. The ring was comprised of 145 diamonds and was a size 13.5. It came in a box with a turntable and an LED light.
Vakalahi, who was born in New Zealand and played rugby in Australia, was signed as an undrafted free agent last season and the Eagles were given a roster exemption because of the NFL’s International Pathway Program. At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, he played eight snaps at left tackle in the 2024 preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings, allowing one sack, according to Pro Football Focus. He was initially waived during final cuts but later signed to the practice squad. Although he did not play in any games during the regular season or playoffs, as a member of the practice squad he is still eligible to receive a ring.
He played in 12 snaps at left tackle during the team’s first preseason game in 2025 against the Cincinnati Bengals and allowed one hurry but was eventually waived during the team’s final cuts but did not re-sign with the team. Vakalahi has shown interest in continuing to play in the league and recently worked out for the Green Bay Packers.
