Your vote will determine who will be the Faber Builders Girls Sports Athlete of the Week for December 15-21. The players' credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be announced on our Instagram page Friday morning.
The nominees are chosen by our sports reporters. If you would like to call attention to an athlete's performance to be considered for the nomination, please email [email protected]. All athletes who play on Section V girls teams are eligible to be nominated.

Ja’Niyah Bell
Lyons freshman finished with 30 points, 17 rebounds, seven blocks, three assists and two steals as the Lions topped Clyde-Savannah in girls basketball.
Mallory Boyce
A junior at Batavia who ran the fastest 3,000-meter race in Section V this season. Boyce, a member of the 2025 Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Girls Cross Country Team, ran a race at SUNY Brockport in 10 minutes, 52.27 seconds.
Maddie Daggett
Marcus Whitman senior poured in 26 points with six rebounds and four steals in a girls basketball win over Dundee/Bradford. Daggett also had 24 points and five steals earlier in the week against Geneva.
Alexis Gerig
A senior at Hilton who is on the school's indoor track and field team. Gerig became the first athlete in Section V to clear 11 feet in the pole vault this season, when she jumped 11-3 during a meet at SUNY Brockport.
Kiley Knittle
Led CG Finney to a win in girls basketball with 26 points, 10 steals, seven assists and five rebounds against Rochester Prep.
Nellie Koronas
Perry senior posted a double-double with 31 points and 13 rebounds, plus five blocks, in a girls basketball win against Warsaw.
Rachel Lynck
A junior at Our Lady of Mercy, who triple jumped 38 feet-10 inches during a meet at Nazareth University. Lynck has the season-best in the event among Section V athletes.
Rebecca Schroeder
A junior on the Webster Schroeder indoor track and field team, who ran the fastest 300-meter race in Section V this season. Schroeder finished in 41.32 seconds during a meet at Nazareth University.
Jane Witkowski
Bishop Kearney senior racked up 18 points and 23 rebounds as the Lady Kings defeated Eastridge in girls basketball.
