Here is the 2025 South Bend Tribune All-Area High School Football Team

A total of 64 players earn recognition on the 2025 South Bend Tribune All-Area High School Football Team. See who made the cut.

While the high school football season in the South Bend area ended a month ago, the South Bend Tribune’s sports staff still has one important chunk of content left for those who already miss Friday night lights: The 2025 All-Area Team.

Many of these selections were no-brainers, as the bulk of the honorees made IFCA All-State teams or were nominated for the South Bend Tribune Football Player of the Year fan poll, which was won by LaVille senior Brayden Schwitz.

As for the South Bend Tribune Football Player of the Year staff pick, that award goes to Concord senior Char’rese Breveard. The Ball State commit had more than 2,300 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns for a Minutemen squad that made its first IHSAA Class 5A semi-state appearance since 2013.

Special congratulations are also in order for the South Bend Tribune Football Coach of the Year, Saint Joseph’s Ben Downey. He led the Huskies to their first Class 4A semi-state appearance since 2015, and Saint Joseph’s 12 wins were the most in a season since 2011.
