Roll Tide Wire's players of week from comeback CFP win vs. Oklahoma

Alabama saw multiple players leave their mark in a 34-24 win over Oklahoma in the CFP first round. Here are Roll Tide Wire's players of the week.

Alabama defeated Oklahoma on Friday night in the CFP first round, 34-24.

Alabama made a historic 17-point comeback, which is the largest in College Football Playoff history. It was an incredible team win with standout performances on both sides of the football. Hopefully, Alabama can ride this momentum into their next game vs. Indiana.

Below are Roll Tide Wire's players of the week in the historic comeback victory over Oklahoma.

Offensive Player of the Week: Ty Simpson, Quarterback

Ty Simpson was very efficient in this game, completing 18-of-29 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns. It may have not been a really high volume night for Ty, but it was efficient and enough to get the win for his team.

Ty threw critical touchdown passes to Lotzeir Brooks. He did not throw any interceptions. He managed the game and allowed his defense to make some game changing plays on the other side of the ball. Ty has a methodical approach to football, and led his team to a 17-point comeback, making CFP history.

Offensive Player of the Week: Lotzeir Brooks, Wide Receiver

Lotzeir Brooks had a fantastic game and was a critical factor in the win. He had five receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns. He also made a critical third down catch that changed momentum of the game. Lotzeir has been a capable playmaker all year. However, he emerged Friday night with his best performance yet. He got open and made plays and became a trusted target for quarterback Ty Simpson.

Defensive Player of the Week: Zabien Brown, Cornerback

Zabien had a pick six at the end of the first half to tie it. This was his second critical pick six of the season, as he had one against Tennessee as well. Zabien returned the ball 50 yards for a touchdown against Oklahoma. This was a critical play that changed the game's momentum.

Zabien shows elite atheltic ability as a cornerback. He also shows an ability to break on the ball really well. This allows him to get pick six's on passes that would not be intercepted by most cornerbacks. Zabien also finished the evening with three solo tackles.
