Vincent Kompany speaks on the second half of Bayern Munich’s season

There’s more to come from Kompany’s Bayern.

Bayern Munich wrap up Hinrunde with an away game at Heidenheim. The 17th placed side were subdued easily by the Bavarians who went on to secure a 4-0 win. This resounding victory now places them nine points above second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Manager Vincent Kompany spoke to the press following the win, calling the first half of the season a good basis. Bayern have outdone themselves with thirteen wins and two draws this season, and most importantly, zero defeats. “We’ve built a good basis for the second half of the season. We’ll now take a break and then carry on,” the manager said, per @iMiaSanMia.

As of now, no comment can be made about the title race since it is far too early to do so. “The titles will be played in March and April, we have to be there when it matters. We have to believe and then we’ll have a chance [to win trophies],” the Belgian declared.

With much of the squad expected back in form in time for the Ruckrunde, it becomes more and more likely that this could be Bayern’s most successful season in a long time.
