How does Jimmy Butler think he'd do versus Dvin Booker one-on-one?
Jimmy Butler Has Clear Take on Potential Competition With Devin Booker originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Golden State Warriors' roster may be starting to resemble an old-age home, but they still have a talented roster that should be very competitive.
They have to figure out how to keep Jonathan Kuminga, who is one of their few young rotation players and may still have room for improvement. But with Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler about to begin their first full season together, the Warriors will not be an easy team to deal with.
At age 35, Butler remains one of the NBA's better one-on-one scorers. Recently, YouTube personalities Faze Rug and Brawadis caught him in public and asked who would win in a game of one-on-one between him and Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker.
Surprisingly, Butler said Booker would easily win.
“Jimmy, you vs. Devin Booker 1v1, who wins and what’s the score, game to 11.”

Booker certainly seems to have the ability to defeat Butler in such a matchup, if not embarrass Butler. He has been one of the NBA's leading scorers year in and year out for several seasons, and he's a very efficient three-level scorer who excels in iso situations from the midrange area.
When Booker gets hot, he tends to get as hot as the Arizona desert does during the summer months. He once scored 70 points during the 2016-17 season and turned in 62 points during the 2023-24 campaign, and he has gotten to the 40-point mark in eight postseason contests.
With career averages of 24.4 points and 5.2 assists a game, he has helped carry the Suns for quite a while. Now, armed with a gargantuan two-year, $145 million contract, he will look to take them into the future after the departures of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.
