Drake is putting a big bet on Jake Paul
Drake is at it again with Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua tonight.
The world famous rapper has become infamous for placing enormous wagers on sporting events, including several high-profile UFC fights, and he’s throwing out a heft bet again as he is backing Paul to pull off an all-time upset against Joshua in Miami.
On his Instagram Stories, Drake posted a screenshot of a $200,000 wager on Paul, which at over 8-to-1 odds, would pay out $1,640,000 if Paul wins.
On paper, Friday’s main event is one of the biggest mismatches ever put together in the fight business, as Paul, a longtime YouTuber and social influencer who dedicated himself to boxing in 2020, takes on Joshua, a two-time undisputed champion and one of the most accomplished heavyweights of his era.
The vast majority of pundits see Joshua ending this one early, though several have acknowledged Paul has a puncher’s chance despite him being far smaller and less experienced than Joshua. Should Paul pull this off, he has at least one very famous fan who will be celebrating the news.
