Notable Omissions
Fans were stunned by the absence of Diego Maradona who played for Barcelona and is often labeled the greatest ever. Even more striking was the exclusion of Xavi Hernandez & Andres Iniesta, 2 midfield icons who defined era at Barca.
The omission of Xavi stands out in particular as he was the coach who promoted Yamal to the senior squad and trusted him with a key role early in his career.
