The 2025 College Football Playoff gets underway this weekend with a jam-packed schedule of highly anticipated matchups.

An all-SEC showdown kicks things off Friday, with No. 9 Alabama visiting No. 8 Oklahoma and looking for payback after the Sooners' win in Tuscaloosa last month.

Six squads will be going head-to-head Saturday, all looking to keep their season alive. The slate will kick off with No. 7 Texas A&M vs. No. 10 Miami, followed by No. 6 Ole Miss vs. No. 11 Tulane and then No. 5 Oregon vs. No. 12 James Madison.

The winners of each game will punch their ticket to the quarterfinal round of major bowl games, where the top four seeds are awaiting their arrival. Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia and Texas Tech all received a first round bye.
