Mississippi State sophomore quarterback Luke Kromenhoek plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after one season in Starkville. On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported the news.

The 6-foot-3.5 signal-caller made a brief cameo in two regular season games for the Bulldogs this season. He transferred to Mississippi State after spending his freshman season at Florida State.

In his lone year at FSU, Kromenhoek was thrust into action, appearing in six games with a pair of starts. He completed 44 of 84 attempts for 502 yards and three touchdowns to two interceptions. He also rushed for 113 yards.

Kromenhoek was a coveted recruit. He finished as a five-star in the Rivals300 and checked in as the No. 45 overall prospect and No. 4 QB in the 2024 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.

He’s now set to be back on the move, looking for his third program in as many seasons. Kromenhoek is the latest Mississippi State player expected to hit the portal, following safety Braylon Burnside, wide receiver Jordan Mosley, safety Tony Mitchell, linebacker Fred Clark and others.

This story will be updated with more information.
