Things are starting to get moving at Roma regarding sponsorship.
After formalizing their partnership with Wizz Air, the Roman club is exploring the possibility of a main sponsor. This would guarantee crucial revenue for the club’s coffers.
According to reports during the “Teladoiotokyo” program on Teleradiostereo, the idea is to launch a partnership with Stake.com.
It currently sponsors Everton, but will cease operations in England in March: it will have to relinquish its gaming license following an investigation by the Gambling Commission.
Stake operates in the gambling industry, and it would be illegal to display the site’s name on jerseys in Italy.
The only way for the deal to materialize would be to sponsor an associated site owned by them.
A similar situation is happening at Inter Milan, which is hosting Betsson.sport. Nothing official is currently in place, but the end of the Friedkin-led relationship with Everton seems to be a clue.
