The Nerazzurri participate in the competition as the 2024-25 Serie A runners-up and will face Bologna in the semifinal on Friday, December 19.
During their time in Riyadh, the Nerazzurri might have a chance to reunite with their former coach Inzaghi, who won six titles, including one Scudetto, in four seasons at the club before becoming the Al-Hilal coach last summer.

According to Gazzetta, Inzaghi has personally contacted the Nerazzurri management on Wednesday, asking to meet them and the team.
The pink paper claims that Inzaghi and Inter directors had not been in touch for several months and that the meeting with the former coach is expected to take place, although not at the team’s hotel.
Inzaghi briefly spoke to Gazzetta, saying: “Here it’s paradise and I feel great.”
