Manchester United are willing to ‘listen to offers’ for Altay Bayindir in January amid interest from his home nation.
Indeed, the shot-stopper has reportedly become a primary target for Besiktas, who are preparing a ‘major squad overhaul’ next month in hopes of turning their fortunes around in the second half of 2025/2026, according to Turkish Football.

Bayindir is expected to be at the heart of such changes, with the Turkey international ‘eager’ to secure regular minutes elsewhere in order to boost his chances of being his country’s No.1 at the World Cup in the summer of 2026.
The 27-year-old has already earned 11 caps for the national team, and most recently featured in a 2-2 draw with Spain on November 18. Prior to that match, however, he hadn’t played since November 2023, when he came off the bench to play just under an hour of action against Wales in a Euros qualifier.
In regards to his action at club level, Bayindir had been promoted to Ruben Amorim’s first-choice when 2025/2026 got underway.
He started the first six Premier League matches of the term, after which Senne Lammens displaced him in the starting XI, and he was again demoted to the bench.

Presumably, Bayindir will be restored to the side when United kick off their FA Cup campaign at home to Brighton and Hove Albion on January 11, but if they lose, it could well mark his final appearance of the season.
Alas, you couldn’t really blame the former Fenerbahce star for pursuing a move elsewhere, especially in such a familiar environment and in a league he knows like the back of his hand.
United signed Bayindir for only £4.3 million back in 2023, so it remains to be seen what kind of fee they might demand to facilitate an exit.
