Both Joaquin and Hamilton make their school’s first football championship game appearance when they clash on Wednesday night.
After finishing third in their district and 11-4 overall, the Rams got hot in the playoffs beating Centerville (42-21), Honey Grove (41-8), Elysian Fields (74-21), San Augustine (35-24) and Refugio (37-28) to make it to the title game.
The Rams made it to the semifinals a year ago, unable to get past Ganado, losing 35-14.
