Chicago adding veteran experience.
The Chicago Bears just added a lot of experience.
On Tuesday, they announced the signing of two defensive players with a combined 199 games of NFL experience.
The Bears have brought in defensive back Tre Flowers and defensive lineman Tanoh Kpassagnon to their 90-man roster.
Flowers was a fifth-round pick of the Seahawks in 2018. The 6-foot-3 safety spent four years with Seattle before spending time with the Bengals, Falcons, Jaguars and Colts. He has four career interceptions and 287 tackles in 95 games.
Kpassagnon went in the second round to the Chiefs in 2017. He spent his first four seasons in Kansas City and won a Super Bowl. His last four years were spent in New Orleans. In 104 career games, Kpassagnon has 16.5 sacks and 141 tackles.

At 6-foot-7, 289 pounds, Kpassagnon immediately becomes one of the most imposing players on the Bears' roster.
Both veterans have a chance to surprise in camp thanks to their ample experience. Sometimes, teams just want guys who have been there, done that.
They'll be just a bit behind by joining Chicago at this point of the offseason, but their NFL tenures should help the learning curve and give the Bears a chance to see what these two veterans can still do.
