In his latest interview with Sky Germany, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane gave insights into the team's progress, life under Vincent Kompany and his goals for 2026.
“We now understand better what the coach expects from us and have grown as a team this season. I feel more comfortable with positioning and movement.
"When you train every day the way we do, you can only improve, and that's why I'm developing personally as well. The connections with my teammates have improved, and I have a better understanding of them.
“I appreciate him [Kompany] both as a coach and as a person. You can see how we play with the ball, and also without the ball. We have high intensity, high energy.
"But he also sets standards as a person and has clear expectations of all players. That's important, and that's how you build something. Our winning mentality is a big part of that.
“We're still competing in all the competitions. We've made sure we go into 2026 with the possibility of winning all three titles. The goal as a team is to win everything this season,” he added.
The 32-year-old stated he “doesn't get carried away” with praise but “appreciates” the kind words. Away from the pitch, he also hopes to improve on his German language skills.
“I'm still learning. My children are learning faster than I am, but I have two or three short lessons a week. I'm slowly understanding a bit more, especially when I listen to some of my teammates.
“But I don't speak German [fluently] yet. I hope that at the end of the season I can have a short chat with some of you after the game, but it's really difficult,” Kane added with a smile.
Having made his best start to a season in his career with 29 goals and 3 assists across 24 games in all competitions, Kane will hope to end 2025 on a high with a win over 1.FC Heidenheim this Sunday.
