UVM has announced its next head coach of the men's soccer team: Former associate head coach Adrian Dubois.
A familiar face will succeed Rob Dow as head coach of the Vermont men's soccer program.
Adrian Dubois, an assistant coach with the Catamounts between 2019-2023, has been named the new leader at Vermont following Dow's move to Penn State, the UVM's athletic department announced on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Dubois spent the past three seasons on the coaching staff at San Diego State. While at Vermont, Dubois was associate head coach for his last three years, helping the Catamounts climb into the national picture and reach the NCAA quarterfinals in 2022 before he left for San Diego State in the summer of 2023.
Dubois is the Catamounts' ninth head coach in program history.
"I'm extremely happy to appoint Adrian Dubois as the next head coach of UVM Men's Soccer," UVM athletic director Jeff Schulman said in a statement. "During his time as our Associate Head Coach, Adrian was involved in every aspect of our program and was directly responsible for recruiting and developing many of the top players who led us to the 2024 National Championship. Adrian has an exceptional reputation not only among our former players, but throughout the country. I'm fully confident in his ability to maintain our standing as one of the top programs in college soccer while inspiring our student-athletes to excel in the classroom, in the community and on the pitch."
In the same news release, Dubois said "its is an incredible honor to lead" the Vermont program.
"I want to express my appreciation to Rob Dow and his staff for their leadership and for building a culture of excellence that has elevated this program nationally," Dubois said. "Vermont's proud tradition is rooted in its people — the alumni who built it, the community that rallies behind it, and the players who represent this university with pride."
Dow, who led Vermont for nine seasons and the 2024 NCAA crown, was hired away by Penn State on Dec. 11.
