After an embarrassing performance in Week 15, the Miami Dolphins have opened as home underdogs in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Miami Dolphins embarrassingly fell out of the NFL playoff picture on Monday night when they were smacked around Acrisure Stadium by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a nationally televised game. Miami had no answers for their AFC North opponents and, despite a couple of late touchdowns, they were never close to competing in the game. The offense came out flat and did not find a rhythm until they were being blown out of the water. The defense tried to step up, but eventually crumbled under the Steelers’ onslaught. And the special teams made mistakes that only exacerbated the rest of the team’s issues.
After a Week 15 embarrassment at the hands of an AFC North opponent, Miami returns home in Week 16 to host an AFC North opponent. The good news for Miami is the Steelers are leading their division while the upcoming Cincinnati Bengals, like Miami, have been eliminated from playoff contention. The bad news is, there are still no expectations that the Dolphins will show up for this game.
