Iowa state linebacker signee and three-star prospect Elijah Reeder has been released from his National Letter of Intent with the Cyclones, he announced on Tuesday.

His decision comes after the departure of ISU head coach Matt Campbell for Penn State earlier this month, along with the hiring of Washington State coach Jimmy Rogers to replace him. Reeder committed to ISU and signed on December 3, the first day of the Early Signing Period.

But with the coaching staff upheaval, he is now looking for a new home.

“First off I wanted to thank lowa State for giving me with the opportunity to be a Cyclone,” he wrote in Twitter in his announcement. “After a lot of prayer and conversations with my family, I have decided to De-Commit from lowa State University. With that being said my recruitment is now 100% open!”
