At the heart of Scheffler’s support system is his wife, Meredith, who’s been by his side long before he became a dominant force on the PGA Tour.
In a video released by Rolex few months ago, Scheffler opened up about the emotional weight of chasing his first major title at the 2022 Masters and how Meredith helped ground him when he needed it most.
“I’ve worked my whole life to have a chance to win the Masters, and I was a bit overwhelmed,” he admitted. “I remember crying a lot. Just because I was able to sit there with my wife. She’s my biggest supporter. She knows me better than anybody.”
That calm presence has followed him to every tournament, including The Open, where he now sits at 14 under. Meredith and their son Bennett have become a regular sight at events, cheering him on from outside the ropes.
As Scheffler put it, “She saw me go from being a fairly anonymous player on the (PGA Tour) to being No. 1 in the world. And going to have a chance to win my first major.”
