Crystal Palace forward Clarissa Larisey has joined American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Houston Dash on a permanent deal.

Dash announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 26-year-old Canadian international joins Houston Dash after spending the second half of last season in England with Crystal Palace. Larisey made nine appearances for The Eagles in the Barclays Women’s Super League but she was unable to save the club from falling through the relegation trapdoor.

Larisey has spent four years playing her football in Europe but she will now return to North America with Houston Dash.

After joining Dash, Larisey said “I’m excited to join the Houston Dash and be part of a club that’s building towards the future. From the moment I spoke with the team, I felt a real connection to their ambition and vision for the club.

“I look forward to a new adventure in the NWSL, one of the most competitive leagues in the world, and I’m ready to push myself and contribute everything I can to help this team succeed.”

Larisey is the sixth player to leave Crystal Palace since the club were relegated back to Barclays WSL2.
