Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has named Chelsea’s ‘next big target’ in the summer transfer market with the player keen.

As we enter the final six weeks of the summer window, Chelsea are looking to get busy and that means more new arrivals as well as departures.

Renatov Veiga has given his ‘yes’ to a move to Atletico Madrid this window, but the two clubs still need to thrash out and agreed fee for this one to go through.

And the French media are reporting that Chelsea are looking likely to get a fee of around 40m euros for Veiga should they be able to get this deal over the line soon.

Outgoings going through should help Chelsea make some more new signings now as well.

Last night saw a load of reports coming in on Xavi Simons to Chelsea. This one really heated up during the day and it now really looks like a deal that could get done this window.

Fabrizio Romano had his latest out on it last night.

He said:

‘Xavi Simons is keen on the move. He likes the project of Chelsea, and so the conversation is now going to be ongoing in the next days between Chelsea and Leipzig on the transfer fee, but Xavi Simons is the next big target for Chelsea.’
