Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark was confined to the sidelines during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, but she still wanted to make a scene.

The two-time All-Star starter was named captain of "Team Clark" for this year's exhibition. She traded with fellow captain Napheesa Collier to have New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello lead her squad, which included Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

After sustaining a right groin injury against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, Clark was forced to miss the All-Star Game and join Brondello on the bench to help coach her team.

Clark warned ESPN that she would act the same as she does as a player — bad news for the WNBA officials.

"I think I've got to heckle the refs," Clark said on ESPN's "WNBA Countdown" Saturday night.

"Maybe I can get a technical or something, but just honestly have a good time," the 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick joked of her goal for the game. "Has we ever had an ejection? Maybe I can get ejected."

Clark, who averages 2.8 personal fouls per game in her WNBA career, has done her best to avoid public criticism of WNBA officials and the associated fines.

That has not stopped her coach, teammates, father, brother and boyfriend from all taking public jabs at the way she is officiated.

Before the season, she claimed to WNBA legends Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi that her goal for 2025 was to receive two or fewer technical fouls across the 44-game regular season. She received six in 2024, and she already has two before the All-Star break this year.
