The Chicago Sky have gotten off to a rough start during the 2025 WNBA season under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh, as they carry a 7-15 record into the All-Star break. They are currently 11th in the league standings and 4.0 games from being in the playoff picture.

However, second-year forward Angel Reese is having another dominant campaign, as she earned her second straight All-Star nod this season. Reese is averaging a league-best 12.6 rebounds per game, as well as a career high 14.0 points and 3.8 assists per contest.

Despite missing the Sky's game against the Atlanta Dream just before the break due to a leg injury, Reese is expected to be full-go for the All-Star Game on Saturday.

Reese was selected by Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier's team for the All-Star game, which features players like Collier, Paige Bueckers, Breanna Stewart and Skylar Diggins.

When speaking with ESPN during All-Star weekend, Reese was asked about which of her Team Collier teammates she was most looking forward to playing with. She admitted that she was most excited to play with Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas.

"Probably AT," Reese said. "Just because she's that point forward. And it's so crazy to me, like, she doesn't shoot mid-range shots or shoot threes, and she still continues to thrive and be super dominant in this league. I was picking her brain of how she does it. ... So I'm excited to play with AT."

Thomas is an 11-year veteran who spent the last decade playing for the Connecticut Sun before being traded to the Mercury this offseason. She is currently contributing 15.2 points, 9.5 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game for Phoenix during the 2025 campaign.

She is a six-time All-Star, a six-time All-Defense honoree and a three-time All-WNBA player. Thomas and Reese will come off the bench for Team Collier in Saturday's game, which will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
