Topeka's Brooklyn DeLeye will be representing Team USA this week in Costa Rica. The volleyball star will be playing in the U21 Pan American Cup.
Topeka's Brooklyn DeLeye continues to shine on a national scale in the volleyball world. She will also put her talents to the test at an international level, too.
The Washburn Rural alum will be a part of Team USA's U-21 squad that will play in the 2025 NORCECA Women's U21 Pan American Cup this week in San Jose, Costa Rica.
DeLeye, who plays collegiately for Kentucky, is one of 12 players for Team USA that will compete for the title against fellow North American, Central American and South American nations. The United States has won the previous two iterations of the tournament in 2022 and 2023.
Last summer, DeLeye helped win the 2024 NORCECA Women’s U21 Continental Championship in Toronto, Canada. She earned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and the Best Spiker.
DeLeye is entering her junior season with the Kentucky Wildcats. She won the SEC Player of the Year and was an AVCA All-American. DeLeye helped Kentucky to a 23-8 record as they reached the NCAA Regional Championship, also known as the Elite 8.
The Pan American Cup will begin with pool play matches against Canada, Puerto Rico and Chile. The knock-out round will start on Friday with the Americans hoping to win the title on Sunday.
