Garcia wants the legacy, influence, and accolades that Mox has.
Based on how the Callis Family needs a bus for local transport with so many members that they have, other factions are taking note for expansion. Jon Moxley has been recruiting Kris Statlander, and now his eye is on Daniel Garcia.
Garcia took Moxley to the limit on Dynamite. Unfortunately, all it took was one mistake from Garcia, and Moxley scored an inside cradle to win. Backstage, Garcia stewed on suffering another loss. He was frustrated about beating himself by making mistakes.
Fast forward to Collision on Saturday night (Aug. 30, 2025), and Garcia wrestled against Blake Christian. Before the action could get underway, Moxley rushed in to offer coaching advice to Garcia. It was unclear what was said exactly, but Garcia seemed receptive to the knowledge, even if he was also annoyed at his enemy barging in. On the finish, Christian went for a springboard 450 splash. Garcia caught him for a guillotine choke. Christian faded from consciousness, then Garcia transitioned for a piledriver to win.
After the match, Tony Schiavone tried to inquire about Moxley’s message. Garcia wasn’t spilling the beans. Garcia had a message of his own. He wants the legacy, influence, and accolades that Moxley has. Garcia won’t attain such things until he goes through Mox.
Garcia issued a challenge for a rematch. Challenge accepted by the Death Riders for Dynamite on September 3.
This is an interesting development. It’s clear that Garcia’s character doesn’t like the Death Riders on a personal level, however, he also realizes that he is falling short of greatness. Another loss to Moxley could be the catalyst for Garcia to accept tutelage as a missing piece to his puzzle.
