Cam Williams, a five-star prospect in the 2026 class, will take an official visit to SMU this weekend, a source told Rivals. It will be his first official visit.

The 6-foot-11 power forward out of St. Mary’s High School (AZ) does not have a top list of schools, but has additional official visits scheduled with Texas, Purdue, Kentucky, Duke, USC, Arizona, and North Carolina. Find his visit schedule here.

Williams is ranked as the No. 7 overall player in the class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 1 power forward and No. 1 player in Arizona.

Williams a standout at the Top-100 Camp

Rivals’ Jamie Shaw found Williams to be a standout at the NBPA Top-100 Camp this summer:

Cameron Williams took a bit of a jump in On3’s most recent ranking. The jump was based on his attainable upside. At 6-foot-11, where Williams shined was with his defensive presence. He has natural instincts on the ball, and did a good job with deflections and being a weak side presence around the rim. Offensively, he has touch and he can put it on the floor for straight lines. Continuing to add strength and figure out his spots on offense will continue his growth toward a high upside.

Right now, Cam Williams is filled with upside. And that is a lot of where the intrigue comes with him. However, the flashes he is showing are becoming more consistent, and he becoming more comfortable in this setting.

Williams is a very intriguing defensive presence. He slides his feet, opens his hips, and has natural timing as a rim protector. That aspect of his game has translated in this setting and is something to hang his hat on moving forward. On day two, Williams finished with 18 and 12 points respectively. He played within himself and did not do anything that he was not comfortable doing. Offensively, Williams was 13-18 from the field and 4-5 from the free-throw line. He was efficient and finished plays.
