Angers SCO could be adding more young attacking depth to their squad before the transfer window closes.

On Thursday, L’Équipereported that Ahmed Abdullahi (21) will move from Sunderland to Les Scoïstes on a season-long loan very soon. The Nigerian is currently under contract with the Premier League side until 2028, but has yet to feature in a league contest with them.

Angers have struggled in the attacking third this season and already lost Estéban Lepaul (25), who officially joined Stade Rennais this week in a €15m transfer deal.

Rémy Labeau Lascary (22) is through the door, with the youngster joining on loan from RC Lens, while veteran Steve Mounié (30) could be on his way to Pays de la Loire also, after a spell at FC Augsburg.

Abdullahi was on people’s radar when he netted 21 goals in 21 appearances for Jong Gent in the Belgian second tier before moving the Gent in the Belgian Pro League.  He’s also earned seven caps for the Nigerian U-20 team, scoring two goals.
