Two UFC super fights are heading to Madison Square Garden.

In a recent announcement, UFC CEO Dana White revealed the top two fights of UFC 322, which is scheduled for Nov. 15, 2025 in New York City, New York. In the main event, former UFC Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev will officially seek a second title opposite new Welterweight kingpin Jack Della Maddalena. The co-main event will see Zhang Weili shed her Strawweight crown in pursuit of Flyweight gold opposite longtime divisional queen Valentina Shevchenko.

Islam Makhachev is the best fighter of the decade so far and arguably the current pound-for-pound king. Makhachev defended his Lightweight belt a record-setting four times before vacating in pursuit of 170-pound greatness. “JDM,” meanwhile, only recently captured gold by styling on Belal Muhammad earlier this year. The Australian will enter his first title defense as the underdog, but Della Maddalena might have the sprawl-and-brawl style necessary to combat the Russian Sambo ace.

Like Makhachev, Weili has left her belt behind to jump up a weight class and chase a second title, which seems to confirm the UFC’s current stance against simultaneous two-division champions. In her home class of 115-pounds, Weili has been incredibly dominant. She’s defended her title three times since capturing gold for the second time, clearly elevating herself above the competition.

Shevchenko, meanwhile, is still standing firm as Flyweight champion. At 37 years of age, she managed to grind out a trilogy win over Alexa Grasso and turn away her division’s hottest rising contender in Manon Fiorot, proving “Bullet” still has gas in the tank.

Two fights, four champions, and two belts on the line — it’s all going down in New York City!
