Sam Horn injury update: Missouri football QB leaves game with injury

Missouri football quarterback Sam Horn left the field with an apparent injury after his first play of the game.

Missouri football quarterback Sam Horn left the Tigers’ game against Central Arkansas on Thursday with an apparent lower-body injury and is yet to return to the game. It is unclear whether or not he will return to the field against the Bears.

The Tigers deviated from their reported plan at QB, which was to bring Horn into the game in the second half after Beau Pribula ran the offense for the first half.

But, Horn checked into the game in the middle of the Tigers’ second series of the game, and on his first play of the season, took a designed run up the middle for a six-yard gain before being brought to the field.

He remained on the field for about a minute, before team trainers helped him off the field and into the injury tent.

Horn later exited the tent and, still unable to put weight on his leg, was helped down the tunnel in the south end zone and into Mizzou’s locker room.

It is unclear at the end of the first quarter whether Horn will return to the game.

Pribula took the Tigers into field goal range and Blake Craig converted a 49-yard field goal to give MU a 9-0 lead.

Earlier in the game, Pribula threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Marquis Johnson.

The team has not yet provided an update on Horn's current status.
