The NFL world is reacting to the Dallas Cowboys trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.
Micah Parsons was chasing after Jordan Love in the wild-card round of the playoffs two seasons ago. Love won't have to worry about evading the sack artist anymore.
And, boy, does he seem happy about it.
Love reacted to the Dallas Cowboys trading Parsons to the Green Bay Packers Thursday with a trio of fire emojis on the quarterback's Instagram story.

Throughout August, Parsons requested a trade, scrubbed his social media of any Cowboys mentions and flashed a "call me" gesture at a fan who told him to come to the Falcons before his preseason finale in Arlington, during which Parsons briefly laid down on an athletic training table and closed his eyes. Looking for a contract extension from the Cowboys, Parsons found himself in a standoff with longtime owner and general manager Jerry Jones. They played cat and mouse, and the premier edge rusher won.
Jones and the Cowboys agreed to trade Parsons to the Packers Thursday evening. In return, the Packers sent the Cowboys a pair of first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
By signing a four-year, $188 million deal with the Packers upon joining the team — $136 million of which will be guaranteed, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport — Parsons will enter the 2025 season with a $47 million average salary, making him the new highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt owned that title, for a bit more than a month, after signing a three-year, $123 million extension on July 17. Watt's brother, JJ, couldn't believe Thursday's news.
"Keep refreshing and reading to make sure it's real," Watt wrote on X. "No wayyyyyyy."
He later added: "A move of this magnitude is so rare in this league. What a play by Green Bay."

Cowboys safety Juanyeh Thomas captured the feeling of everyone in his fan base with a GIF of Steve Harvey.

Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown went a similar route, also using a humorous, and telling, GIF to channel how he's feeling about losing a three-time All-Pro who has tallied at least 12 sacks in each of his four NFL seasons since being drafted No. 12 overall out of Penn State in 2021.

Another Dallas defender, and a close of friend of Parsons, quickly chimed in on X. That's cornerback Trevon Diggs, who has been with Parsons for all but one of his five seasons with the Cowboys.
Diggs simply posted a broken heart emoji to X.
