The Georgia Bulldogs have a talented offense that features four All-SEC picks, but no first-team selections.
The Georgia Bulldogs will have a new-look offense for the 2025 college football season. Georgia has not officially named its starting quarterback, but it is assumed that veteran QB Gunner Stockton will start after Carson Beck departed via the transfer portal.
Georgia's offense features a revitalized set of playmakers. Georgia dipped into the transfer portal to bolster offensive depth and added a few top-end receivers. The Bulldogs have had to replace six offensive players that were selected in the 2025 NFL draft including three offensive linemen in the first three rounds (that all may start in the NFL as rookies).
Georgia's offensive line lost four starters this offseason and features a competitive position battle for the starting right guard spot. The UGA offensive front has less experienced depth than the Bulldogs have had in previous seasons.
"They go on through the whole year," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said on the Bulldogs' position battles. "Because I value Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, sometimes Thursday of practice weeks, probably more than some game reps. So, we've got a lot of good battles going on.
"And we have a saying around our place, if you're going to play winning football, we wanna play you. We're looking to have as many guys as possible above that winning threshold line, and that's the goal, to play all those guys."
Georgia does not released an official depth chart. Additionally, the Bulldogs don't have to provide an official injury report until the Week 3 game against Tennessee.
Georgia football's projected offensive depth chart entering Week 1
Quarterback
- Gunner Stockton
- Ryan Puglisi
- Ryan Montgomery
- Hezekiah Millender/Colton Ginn
Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton is the only player in the quarterback room to attempt a pass in his college career. Stockton has just 1 and 1/2 games of experience as a starter, but he played in big moments against strong opponents in Texas and Notre Dame.
After Stoctkon is redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi, a former four-star recruit. Third-string quarterback Ryan Montgomery is just a freshman and is a former four-star recruit that missed his senior year of high school due to a knee injury. Georgia's quarterback room does not have a lot of experienced depth, so we'd be surprised to see Georgia run Stockton much this season.
Running backs
- Nate Frazier
- Josh McCray
- Cash Jones
- Roderick Robinson
Georgia sophomore running back Nate Frazier is a third-team All-SEC pick after posting 671 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 133 carries last season. Illinois transfer Josh McCray brings power and experience to the Dawgs. He missed some time in fall camp with an illness and may have a slow start out of the gates. Cash Jones is Georgia's top receiving back, but is not the best between the tackles. Roderick Robinson has battled injuries in the past and is finally healthy.
Chauncey Bowens, Dwight Phillips and Bo Walker are additional names to know in the running back room.
Wide receivers
- Zachariah Branch
- Colbie Young
- Dillon Bell
- Noah Thomas
- London Humphreys
- Talyn Taylor
Kirby Smart is impressed with the depth Georgia has in its wide receiver room. The Dawgs upgraded their receiver group with transfer additions in Noah Thomas (Texas A&M) and Zachariah Branch (USC), who is all All-SEC selection. We don't see a ton of separation among Georgia's top five receivers and think the Bulldogs will heavily rotate among the group above with Thomas and Colbie Young standing out as red zone threats.
Freshman Talyn Taylor is an elite recruit that impressed in camp. Sacovie White, Cole Speer, CJ Wiley, Landon Roldan, Thomas Blackshear and Tyler Williams also factor into Georgia's receiver room.
Tight ends
- Oscar Delp
- Lawson Luckie
- Jaden Reddell
Georgia top two tight ends (Lawson Luckie and Oscar Delp) are a major strength of the offense. Both Luckie and Delp (second-team All-SEC) could be 2026 NFL draft picks. Colton Heinrich could see action as a blocker. Freshmen Elyiss Williams and Ethan Barbour have a lot of talent, but are adjusting to the college game.
Offensive line
Starters: Left tackle Monroe Freeling, left guard Micah Morris, center Drew Bobo, right guard Daniel Calhoun and right tackle Earnest Greene
Depth: Juan Gaston, Jamal Meriweather, Jahzare Jackson, Malachi Toliver, Michael Uini, Nyier Daniels and Bo Hughley
Georgia is replacing four offensive line starters that left for the NFL this offseason. The Dawgs have four experienced returnees in Freeling, Morris, Bobo and Greene (All-SEC third-team). Five-star freshman Juan Gaston could start at right guard, which is the offensive line position battle to watch, over Daniel Calhoun. Georgia is looking to be more physical in the run game and do a better job of protecting the quarterback this season.
"Those guys have really been competitive and gotten better," Smart said on Georgia's offensive line group. Jahzare Jackson (possible suspension) and Malachi Toliver (injury) both could miss the season opener against Marshall.
