The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly signing former Notre Dame running back Audric Estime to the team's practice squad.
The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly making a high-profile addition to their practice squad. Former Notre Dame running back Audric Estime is signing, according to a report from FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
Estime was a fifth-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2024. He suited up for them last season after making the roster.
He earned some game action for the Broncos, working around an injury that briefly sidelined him. He appeared in 13 games and ran for 310 yards and two touchdowns on 76 carries. He also caught five passes for 27 yards.
But the running back room in Denver was crowded after the Broncos selected former UCF star RJ Harvey in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft and then added JK Dobbins via free agency. Audric Estime no longer fit into the plans.
Now he’ll get a fresh opportunity in Philadelphia, with the chance to earn his way onto the roster if he can impress on the practice squad. He’s certainly capable.
Audric Estime was a superstar in college, putting together two monster seasons for Notre Dame. He did it all.
In 2022, Estime played in 13 games. He started only two of them but managed to rack up 920 yards and 11 touchdowns rushing, while also tallying nine catches for 135 yards and a touchdown receiving.
In 2023, he would exceed those totals. He logged 1,341 yards and 18 touchdowns rushing, as well as catching 17 passes for 142 yards.
Audric Estime spoke to reporters before he was cut in Denver. And his comments reflected an attitude that should serve him well now in Philadelphia.
“To make the team isn’t up to me, it’s up to the coaching staff, and it’s honestly up to God,” Estime said. “I feel like I did what I needed to do, to put myself in position to be on it. But end of the day, Sean (Payton) knows what’s best for this team. And I’m putting my trust in God, and I feel like I did what I needed to do.
“I am proud of my progression; I definitely got better from last year to this year. I definitely have progressed a lot, and it’s all you can do, progress in this league.”
