After missing the entirety of the 2024 season due to injury, Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Jalen Hale is set to make his anticipated return to the field this fall.
A former top recruit, Hale originally emerged for the Crimson Tide during his freshman season, but saw his breakout season put on hold a year ago due to a season-ending injury suffered during spring practice.
Having since returned from that injury, there is certainly reason to believe that Hale could make an impact in 2025, potentially even picking up right where he left off in 2023.

Coming out of high school, Hale was considered as the nation's No. 41 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, as well as the No. 6 wide receiver nationally, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. A four-star prospect, Hale was also considered the No. 7 player in the state of Texas out of Longview High School, and committed to Alabama back in Sept. 2022.
Jalen Hale 2025 season outlook
After missing all of last season, Hale could be set to contribute for the Crimson Tide this fall having since returned to full health, according to head coach Kalen DeBoer.
However, Hale is likely not expected to start for the Crimson Tide to begin the season, as Alabama has three names cemented at the top of the depth chart in Ryan Williams, Germie Bernard, and Isaiah Horton. Hale should be among Alabama's top backups the position though, meaning that the redshirt sophomore should see a significant amount of action if healthy.
Overall, expect a breakout season for Hale in which the former top recruit likely emerges into a larger role as the year goes along.
