Receiver Traeshon Holden went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, and signed with the Dallas Cowboys. However, after a strong training camp, the former Oregon Duck receiver was cut by the Cowboys.
Holden spent the first three years of his college career at Alabama and then finished his last two years at Oregon. In his senior year, Holden broke out with the Ducks to the tune of 718 yards and five touchdowns.
Although Holden was victim of the 53-man roster cuts on Tuesday, he could find a new home soon. Holden has been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers after a strong camp.
Could Holden Wear Black and Gold Soon?
After accumulating 128 catches and more than 1,700 yards during his college career, Holden continued to impress throughout the Cowboys' training camp.
"Every day he shows up, I mean he really does. Every day he makes a play. ... And when you do that, you get noticed, and when you do that, you get more opportunities, and just proud of him," Cowboys' head coach Brian Schottenheimer said of Holden (h/t SI.com). "You'll see him moving up the depth chart."
Although Holden impressed the Cowboys' head coach, he was one of the cuts that came on Tuesday, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. However, that could open the door for Holden to start his NFL career elsewhere.

Holden has been linked to the Steelers since before the draft in April. The former Oregon receiver met with the Steelers prior to the draft, and after a strong camp and preseason, Pittsburgh might be interested in claiming the rookie receiver.
The Steelers No. 1 receiver in 2025 will be D.K. Metcalf, but they don't have much proven depth behind him. Pittsburgh's receiver room includes Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Scotty Miller, Ben Skowronek and Roman Wilson.
The Steelers only have five receivers on the roster and could use another young weapon to compete for a role this season. Pittsburgh was interested in Holden before the draft, and he's only boosted his stock since.
