Kansas City had to make some room.
Chiefs make Carson Steele roster cut decision on NFL cutdown day originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Kansas City Chiefs couldn't keep everyone.
That means that fan favorite running back Carson Steele got some bad news Tuesday as part of the NFL's roster cutdown day.
Steele has been let go, according to NFL transactions insider Aaron Wilson.
The writing was a bit on the wall here for Steele.
The Chiefs returned veteran RBs Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco.

Then, they signed veteran Elijah Mitchell from the 49ers in free agency.
And in the seventh round of the draft, they took talented back Brashard Smith out of SMU.
That left Steele on the outside of the depth chart looking in.

The 6-foot, 228-pound bowling ball of a running back began his college career at Ball State before finishing up at UCLA.
The Chiefs got him as an undrafted free agent before last season, and he captured the hearts of fans in the 2024 preseason thanks to his flowing blonde hair and his powerful running style.
In the regular season, he had 56 carries for 183 yards (3.3 ypc) and seven catches for 26 yards. Steele didn't find the end zone.
Now, he'll have to find a new team.
