Franklin Jr. signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted college free agent after the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent his first five seasons there contributing on defense and special teams. He totaled 105 tackles, 1 sack, a forced fumble, an interception that ended up being a 99-yard pick six. He joined the Broncos in free agency this year, but did not do enough to make the active roster.
