As preseason ends for the Dallas Cowboys, no end appears to be in sight when it comes to the Micah Parsons contract dispute. Questions will now be asked about his status leading into Week 1’s massive showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. Parsons has not backed down from his trade request in early August.

Dak Prescott is confident Parsons will be out there on Sept. 4. He expressed as such when speaking to the media on Monday, believing Parsons is physically ready to play. At the same time, while some wonder if the whole saga has been a distraction, Prescott pushed back on the idea.

“Dak Prescott is confident that Micah Parsons will be on the field Week 1,” The Athletic‘s Jon Machota said via X. “Dak thinks Micah will be ready to play. He doesn’t think it’s been a distraction for the team.”
