Athlete of the Week Candidates
Breylon McDuffie, Orrville football
While helping lead Orrville to a 56-23 victory over non-league rival Wooster on Friday, McDuffie had eight receptions for 67 yards and two touchdown receptions, plus had a 75-yard interception return for a touchdown on defense.
Charli Murphy, West Holmes girls soccer
Murphy score six goals in the Knights 8-0 home win over Mansfield Senior on Tuesday.
Kelsee Smith, Northwestern volleyball
Smith recorded 29 assists and six aces in Northwestern's straight sets win (25-20, 25-23, 25-12) over New London on Monday.
Thad Weaver, Dalton boys golf
In Dalton's dual match victory over Northwestern 166-185 (nine holes) on Wednesday, Weaver shot a low score of 33.
Iriel Mena, West Holmes girls cross country
Mena won the girls individual title on Saturday at the Waynedale Gideon's Run Invitational, while helping lead the Knights to the girls team title out of 11 schools.
