Few clubs in world football come with more pressure than playing for Italian giants Juventus.
With a massive footprint that spans both the domestic and European game, some of the biggest talents to ever step on a pitch have plied their trade in Turin, but Jonathan David is already proving himself in Black and White.
After arriving from Ligue 1 outfit Lille on a free transfer in the summer as La Vecchia Signora continue to look for a reliable lead striker, the Canadian international delivered a debut Serie A goal to lift Igor Tudor's troops into a deserved 1-0 lead against Parma.
The 25-year-old put his box instincts on display in the 60th minute, redirected a low cross from Kenan Yildiz with a first-time outside of the foot finish past Parma shot-stopper Zion Suzuki before being replaced by underfire frontman Dušan Vlahović in the 80th minute.
It was the debut he would have hoped for, and while Juventus will be keen to see him lead them to a first Scudetto in five years, Canada fans will watch with keen eyes as the 2026 World Cup draws nearer.
