There were several standouts from the Broncos' 2025 preseason.
The Denver Broncos wrapped up their preseason with a win over the New Orleans Saints Saturday afternoon. While there were a bunch of stars from the Saints game, we will take a look at the winners and losers from the preseason as a whole.
Winner: QB Jarrett Stidham
Stidham played two incredible games, going over 375 yards through the air, along with four touchdowns. Despite not playing against the Saints, Stidham was the quarterback to beat league-wide. Stidham only solidified his spot as the primary backup to starter Bo Nix.
Loser: RB Audric Estime
Once considered the future of the running back room, Estime has seemingly fallen from grace in the preseason, getting limited snaps and not making the most of it. With running back Blake Watson hurting his knee in the finale against New Orleans, Estime put his best foot forward and laid it all on the line to be part of Denver's running back room.
Winner: Broncos (drafted) offensive rookies
The Broncos 2025 draft class looks to be full of stars. From first round pick Jahdae Barron to seventh round pick Caleb Lohner, each player could make the 53-man roster. Pat Bryant has been a star receiver, whose quick development could have led to the trade of Devaughn Vele while running back RJ Harvey is making a play for starting running back.
Loser: P Jeremy Crawshaw
Crawshaw was the only punter selected in the 2025 NFL draft, and his leg talent was on display at training camp. However, the biggest issue Crawshaw has faced has been consistency. Crawshaw was hit-or-miss inside the 50, and about the same on his end of the field. If he can clean it up, Crawshaw will be a huge weapon for Denver; if not, he may find himself in a competition midseason.
Winner: Broncos undrafted class
Take your pick! The Broncos have had outstanding success with undrafted free agents, and this year is no exception. One of the undrafted players who is likely to have an impact on the 53-man roster is wide receiver Courtney Jackson. Jackson showed tremendous do-it-all potential, running the ball on a jet sweep, catching passes all over the field and performing as a returner on special teams. Jackson is just one of a handful of undrafted rookies making roster cuts a difficult decision for Sean Payton.
