How far will the Alabama Crimson Tide go in 2025? EA Sports' College Football 26 takes the wheel and predicts coach Kalen DeBoer's second season.
Week 1 in college football has officially arrived. The Alabama Crimson Tide open the 2025 season against Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee at 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday on ABC.
For the second year in a row, college football fans can take their favorite teams to conference and national championships, compete for the Heisman Trophy, and have some fun by running up the score on a few rivals along the way.
With the return of EA Sports' 'College Football' franchise earlier this summer, fans have a rebooted version of a once annual ritual in many households and dorm rooms: an extensive college football video game with matching logos, uniforms, stadiums, updated rosters, and any game day traditions that might have missed the cut in last year's edition.
Bonus: star Alabama receiver Ryan Williams is on the cover of the game next to Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith.
With the buildup to another season that's sure to produce more upsets, wild finishes, and endless debate over which teams belong in the 12-team College Football Playoff, Roll Tide Wire had some fun trying to "predict" Alabama's 2025 campaign by using a simulation in EA Sports' College Football 26.
Our simulation wasn't used with Alabama as the selected team in Dynasty Mode, but rather Ball State. The Cardinals are the lowest-rated team in College Football 26, and would seemingly be the most impartial with regard to overall results. Still, individual game outcomes weren't influenced, and no tinkering was done to active rosters or player attributes.
Here's what EA Sports' College Football 26 thinks of Alabama in Year 2 under coach Kalen DeBoer.
Alabama football game-by-game predictions using College Football 26
In our Dynasty Mode simulation, the virtual Crimson Tide recovered from a pair of midseason hiccups and survived several close calls to finish the regular season at 10-2. That turned out to be enough to get them back to the SEC Championship Game for another matchup in Atlanta against the Georgia Bulldogs.
