The clash between Barcelona and Levante in Valencia had everything football fans could wish for.
It was a match filled with goals, drama, controversy, and, above all, a thrilling comeback that kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle. Even neutral fans would have found it hard to look away from the action.
Barcelona have already gained a reputation for producing dramatic comebacks, and this game added another chapter to that story. After being 0-2 down at half-time, the Catalans staged an incredible turnaround in the second half.
Goals from Pedri and Ferran Torres pulled them level before an own goal from Levante deep into stoppage time sealed a victory that highlighted Barça’s never-say-die mentality.
While the goals and the comeback naturally grabbed the headlines, there were several key details during the match that might have gone unnoticed but carried great importance.
Here, we take a closer look at three moments that reflected both the tactical depth and human side of Flick’s Barcelona.
Flick shows support for Fermin

Managing a squad packed with talent is never easy, and for Hansi Flick, the second season at Barcelona means making even tougher decisions.
Increased competition for places has given him more options, but also more headaches when it comes to keeping everyone satisfied.
Against Levante, Flick made a bold call by starting Raphinha in a central role to create space for Marcus Rashford in attack. While it worked tactically, the decision left Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo as the main victims on the bench.
For Fermin, the night was particularly hard, as he ended the game without a single minute on the pitch.
However, Flick showed his softer side after the final whistle. The German coach took Fermin aside on the bench and spoke with him in a calm and supportive manner.
He seemed well aware that he cannot always distribute minutes fairly, but his effort to show empathy highlighted how he manages the human side of football.
Such moments can be crucial for maintaining harmony in a competitive dressing room.
Cubarsi’s contribution to Ferran’s goal

It was not Pau Cubarsi’s finest display in a Barcelona shirt. The young defender struggled at times and was involved in Levante’s opening goal, which could have dented his confidence.
But football is often about small details, and Cubarsi provided one in the build-up to Ferran Torres’ equaliser that went largely unnoticed.
Speaking after the match, Ferran admitted, “In the second goal, ‘Cuba’ also made a very good block that we had worked on, and there I finished off as best I could with the inside and it was an important goal in an important minute.”
That block from Cubarsi may not appear in the highlights, but it played a vital part in Barcelona drawing level.
It showed that even when a player has a difficult night, a single positive contribution can change the outcome of a game.
Lamine Yamal’s search for answers
For Lamine Yamal, the game was a mix of highs and lows. At times, he was unplayable, creating chaos for Levante’s defenders, while at other points he appeared frustrated when things did not go his way.

What stood out, however, was his willingness to look for guidance rather than let frustration take over.
The youngster was often seen speaking with members of the coaching staff, especially Arnau Blanco, who worked with him during his Cadete A days and is now part of Flick’s technical team.
Flick himself also offered words of encouragement, urging Yamal to keep going despite the difficult phases.
At one point, the winger even sought help from the physios to massage his thighs, as he felt muscle-heavy. Yet he never gave up.
His persistence paid off in stoppage time when his cross forced Levante into scoring the decisive own goal that sealed Barcelona’s dramatic 3-2 win.
